Fatebekind! and a Prepper Recipe

First off, Fatebekind if you're reading this--I need to know if you're a man or a woman in order to enter you in the t-shirt giveaway! To everyone else, leaving a comment on this post will enter you in the giveaway for a man's or woman's 2nd amendment t-shirt. See here.
If you're a pasta lover, then I hope you're stockpiling boxes of pasta. If you run out, want to try a new skill, or just want to try some really tasty pasta, you might want to try making your own. This is a very easy recipe that could be made in an emergency situation as long as you have chickens or stored egg substitute, and bottled butter. (This recipe is the dough for our family's pierogi recipe. We always make these noodle with the leftovers.)
Kluski Noodles
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tbsps. butter
milk to consistency (water can be used in emergency)
Dough can be doubled or tripled. Mix all ingredients, knead until smooth. Roll out to desired thickness or send a small amount through the pasta machine. This is a tough dough to work with and will require some muscle behind that rolling pin! When flat, cut in strips using a pizza cutter. Hang to dry. (As you can see, my clothing rack worked perfectly!) Dough is dry usually within 2 days or so depending on thickness. I know it's dry when it falls off the rack! Store in a glass jar or zip-lock bag. If you want, this pasta can be eaten right after cutting. Boil for app. 9 minutes (more or less depending on thickness) and slather in butter and salt! Yum!
Prep On!

Thanks, Mechanic. It's so nice to hear encouraging words. I try to think of things I could feed my family in emergency situations and I figure others might appreciate it, too. Sometimes it's hard to think of things except for what comes out of a jar! Thanks!

WooHoo! Another homemade/prepper recipe. This looks really easy, the type of recipes I like. Lots and lots of pasta here. No good for the waste line, though, but like chocolate, gotta have it. Just a question, how long does it last and do they need oxygen absorbers. I have stored food in 5 gallon buckets without absorbers and hope I do not regret it. They do have plastic seal, though, and I froze things before putting them into buckets. Mainly rice, beans and flour. I told myself if things have not gone south by end of summer, I would repackage everything. Trying to save money.
