This and That

Hi everyone! In the life of a prepper-homesteader, spring is one of the busiest times of the year! There are gardens to plant and weed. (Oh, the weeds are TREMENDOUS this year!) Newspapers and mulch need to be laid. There are new chicks to tend, chick coops to refinish (new roof, specifically). Grass needs mowing. Trees need trimming, and transplanting. Weeds need pulling. (Oops, did I already say weeds? Yeah, we've got alot of 'em here!) That is the stuff of life around our homestead lately. You see, all those jars of security that I want to put up in the fall, well I've got to be tending (prepping) for that now by doing all of the above work to ensure there will be a good crop.

Summer is the time to relax, take-it-easy, be at your leisure. Enjoy this time, but also be diligent in your preps. Don't forget that any sort of emergency could be just around the corner. Stay alert. To that end, here is a great article that was posted by Northwoods at the Wisconsin Preppers Network. It is 24 experts recommendations on what they believe will be coming in the end of this year and into the next few years. These are the trusted experts, not the government's "it's a jobless recovery" experts! Take heed!

You know how someone with a British accent can say something horrible and it sounds great?? Well, here's a link to a British show where the economic collapse is explained in under 3 minutes. It's a hoot! Well, really it's a sad reality, but given with humor. Check it out if you'd like a giggle!

Prep On!

Yes weeds and more weeds. We can blame it on all the rain. At least here it has been non stop. Still have a few more things to get in the garden. Those 24 experts sure had sobering news. These are scary times, but look forward to the promise in the end. Great Post!

Oh boy, and weeding is such an ongoing project here for me as well. I really got a kick out of that British show explaining economic collapse I just had to pass it on. So much for the euro eh?

Hi ladies! Thanks for stopping in! Yes, both links were good, weren't they? The British one made me chuckle! "The dollar is secure because the US is owned by China!" So matter of fact I just had to laugh. But, so sad and true.
Weeds are about on my last nerve! The new garden spot didn't get 'tarped' (to kill weeds) and the grass and weeds are kicking my butt! I'm laying down newspaper and straw to try and control it. By the time harvest comes, I might be done! Ugh! Thanks, ladies!

Shelly, have you emailed me yet? I haven't gotten it, if you did.
