Oh, the weather outside is (about to be) frightful.....

Hi everyone! I hope you're all aware of what's coming to those of us in the northern half of the state in the next few days. We're expecting a blizzard with high winds and 1 1/2 feet of snow! I hope you have your emergency car kit, and a full tank of gas. I'm going to be going out for milk this afternoon ('cuz I don't have a cow!!). If you can stay home for the next few days, do so!! If not, take care and be prepared! If you're in an area that experiences power outages when storms come--be ready! You might need your backup power in the next few days!

Completely ready here. Spent the day so far filling water coolers and containers, filled the bath tub, washed the sheets on the spare beds in case we need to drag the FIL to our house. I am making some large batches of food so it can be heat and eat in the fireplace or on the top of the wood stove in the basement. I even washed my hair today even though it didn't need it yet. I normally go 3 or 4 days since my hair tends to be dry. We have two wood heat sources in case of power outage. The hardest part of the next few days for us may be traversing from the house to the barn and back to take care of livestock!

Jane, glad for you that they took the blizzard out of your forecast. The wind and snow started blowing pretty good this morning and it's COLD!!!
Roxie, good for you, girl! You are ready!! I'm jealous of your wood heat! Hoping we'll have that in the not-too-distant future. I'm with you on the hair washing. I only do mine twice a week! I love that my hair feels better, plus I love the TIME that I don't spend on it!! Stay warm and we'll be in touch after the Blizzard!!
Thanks for stopping by, ladies! I appreciate it!
